Tanagra’s air
base has hosts two international air shows so far and countless visits from
international airlines. Our society has visited 114 Combat Wing many times in
the past and our members have visited the place on their own, due to the Air
Force's Patron Saint Celebration. However, the members always want an organized
visit. And each visit is special and very interesting from the previous. All
visits have a common characteristic: each time we visit the air base, our
members realize the high level of skills, readiness, morality and hospitality,
which characterize the personnel of Hellenic Air Force, because above all the
excellent aircrafts are people. People who work all day and all night.
Tuesday the 22nd of March, our members had the chance to visit the 114 Wing
Combat and spend a whole day in 331 Wing Combat with the personnel. They
witnessed the unseen side of preparing the aircraft and general the life inside
the Combat Wing. Our members, saw and heard from close up, whatever happened
that day in the ramp, inside the hangars, in the runway and in the air of
Tanagra.
When we left, the good impressions and the confidence for the people there will
guide us for ever.
