Another extraordinary experience
for "Air-Born" members was scheduled on the same day of the 2011 New Year Cake
ceremony.
For fourth consecutive time, "Air-Born" members had the opportunity to visit the
air traffic control tower at Athens International Airport El. Venizelos
(officially approved by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority).
Members who
attended, were able not only to watch the air-traffic control tower operations
from the inside, but also discuss with the personnel and the control tower
supervisors for all aspects of their demanding and challenging job.
Participation to the air traffic control tower visit exceeded any expectations,
leading to the creation of two visiting groups and a positive feedback from
everybody. Air born members took advantage of the astonishing view from the
tower height allows and captured beautiful pictures of the airport area as well
as great take-offs at 03L and landings at 03R.
