spotting point 6

How to get there

Spotting point 6 is located in parallel to the threshold of runway 07, on its southern side. This point enables spotting, on the rare occasion of landings and take-offs from runway 07. In order to get there, you'll have to follow the instructions for spotting point 7 and move accross the airport perimeter fence. Alternatively, you can get there by using the main road passing from Paradeisi village. Since the latter experiences high traffic and is being used by many pedestrians, you are advised to use the first option.

It will take you approximately 20 minutes, in order to get there on foot. By car it's less than 10 minutes away.

Light conditions

Optimal light conditions are being experienced from morning until midday.

Photographic equipment

Wide angle lens is required for taxiing aircraft. For aircraft using, landing or taking off from runway 07, you'll need more than 200mm (B737/A320)

 Other information

The well known "Airport View" cafeteria is also located here. The spot is elevated, right in front of the fuselage of U.A.E. Royal Flight Airbus A300-600 c/rA6-PFD, which skidded off runway, in an accident on March 24th 1999.
